Crushing is the crucial stage in limestone processing operation. The feeder or screens separate large boulders from finer rocks that do not require primary crushing, thus reducing the load to the primary crusher. The crusher product, normally 7.5 to 30cm in diameter, and the undersize material are discharged onto a belt conveyor and conveyed as coarse aggregates. According to end products applications, the limestone may be crushed in secondary and tertiary crushing process for further size reduction.
