On January 14, 2026, the Aggregate Branch of the Shanghai Stone Trade Association hosted the "Huaxin·2026 China (Shanghai) High-Quality Aggregate Production and Application Summit Forum" in Shanghai, under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Commission and the China Aggregates Association. Over 400 industry elites from government departments and enterprises gathered to exchange the latest industry trends, technological achievements, and explored industrial cooperation to promote the high-quality development of the aggregate sector.

A key highlight of the forum was the keynote speech by Mr. Fang Libo, President of the 8th Council of the China Aggregates Association and CEO of SBM. His report, titled "The Changes and Constants of China’s Aggregates Industry from a Global Perspective," provided an insightful analysis of the industry’s development trends and core challenges on a global scale. Mr. Fang emphasized that while the aggregates industry is undergoing significant green transformation and intelligent upgrading, its core values—supporting livelihoods, pursuing high-quality products, and adhering to technological innovation—remain unchanged.

He put forward four key propositions to guide the industry’s development: first, oppose internal competition by promoting orderly market behavior and enforcing strict management; second, align with the 15th Five-Year Plan to seize opportunities arising from major infrastructure projects; third, strengthen innovation through the application of AI and other advanced technologies; and fourth, expand globally by leveraging platforms such as the GAIN conference to enhance international exchange and build a high-quality future for the aggregates industry.

Additionally, Mr. Feng Lei, Vice President of Sales for the China Region at SBM, introduced the company’s growth since its founding in 1987. SBM has built a large-scale production base, with products sold to over 180 countries and more than 30 overseas offices, serving over 8,000 clients worldwide. Mr. Feng shared valuable insights on SBM’s talent development and overseas expansion strategies, reported progress on its self-operated mining projects, and highlighted the company’s successful practices in green and intelligent aggregate production, offering important experience for industry transformation.

SBM’s participation in this forum not only highlights its leadership and innovation in the aggregates sector but also signifies its commitment to driving green development and intelligent upgrading within the industry. Looking ahead, SBM will continue to promote high-quality and globally integrated growth for China’s aggregates industry through deepening cooperation and technological advancement.
