Recently, contemporary artist Sun Ning—the first female climber from Henan to successfully scale Mount Everest from both the North and South slopes—conquered Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa at an elevation of 5,895 meters.
Following her summit flag display on Mt. Upon her return, Sun Ning officially presented SBM with a volcanic rock specimen brought back from Mt. Kilimanjaro.
With this donation, two precious rock specimens—one from Mt. Everest, the "Roof of the World," and the other from Mt. Kilimanjaro, the "Roof of Africa"—now stand side by side in the SBM Ore Museum.
