2 When mining machinery works for a long time, the oil temperature of the lubricating oil will become higher, which requires the lubricating oil to have better thermal stability and oxidation resistance. In addition, in the environment where mining equipment is located, there are more coal dust, rock dust, and moisture. Lubricating oil is inevitably contaminated by these impurities. This requires that the performance of the lubricating oil cannot change too much even when it is contaminated.

3 For open-pit mine machinery, the temperature changes greatly in winter and summer, and the temperature difference between day and night is also large in some areas. Therefore, the viscosity of lubricating oil is required to change with temperature to be small. It is necessary to avoid that the viscosity of the oil becomes too low when the temperature is high. The formation of a lubricating film does not provide the necessary lubrication, and it is necessary to avoid too high viscosity when the temperature is low, which may cause difficulty in starting and running.

4 For some mining machinery and equipment, it is required to use a lubricant with good flame resistance (anti-combustible liquid), and can not use flammable mineral oil to avoid accidents.

5 The adaptability of the lubricant to the seal should be good to avoid damage to the seal.
