In order to make the jaws wear evenly and reduce operating costs, the ore should be evenly distributed along the inlet of the feeder and fill the crushing cavity.
During the normal use of feeder, according to the needs of the productivity, the amplitude can be adjusted within the range of the rated amplitude by adjusting the control box knob, so as to achieve the purpose of stepless adjustment of the productivity of the feeder.
(1) Prevent iron blocks from entering the crushing cavity. The iron block may damage the jaws and other parts.
(2) The height of the ore should not exceed the fixed jaw.
(3) The maximum size of raw material should be 75mm-100mm smaller than the feeding opening of jaw crusher. Large sized ore is easy to block the crushing cavity and affect the crushing efficiency.
If the discharge opening is too small, it will cause blockage and consume excessive energy, causing serious damage to jaw crusher. If the discharge opening is too large, it will increase the load of second crushing. So, the discharge opening should be set properly on the basis of ensuring the processing capacity of raw material.
There are 2 kinds of adjustment devices to adjust the size of discharge opening: wedge adjustment device and gasket adjustment device. Wedge adjustment device adjusts the discharge opening size through hydraulic pressure while gasket adjustment device adjusts the discharge opening size by changing the numbers of gaskets.
The two jaw plates are tooth-shaped and have a straight section design, which can be inverted and interchanged. Therefore, one jaw plate can be installed on the movable jaw as well as on the fixed jaw.
The wear state of jaw plates and its adjustment are very effective in improving the production capacity of jaw crusher. Operators should check the wear status regularly to determine when to turn the jaw plates upside down, interchange and replace them. Here are the common wear conditions and treatment measures of jaw plates:
(1) The bottom of movable jaw plate has worn 1/3; the bottom of the fixed jaw plate has worn 2/3.
Treatment measures: two jaw plates inverted.
(2) The top and bottom of the movable jaw plate are worn 1/3, and the middle part is worn half; both the top and bottom of the fixed jaw plate were worn by 2/3.
Treatment measures: two jaw plates inverted.
(3) The top and bottom of the two jaw plates have been completely worn.
Treatment measures: replace the jaw plates with new one.
Bearings are the core components of jaw crusher’s operation and are close related to the crushing performance. High-quality lubrication is the key to ensure the performance and service life of bearings.
The eccentric shaft bearing installed on the base bearing box and the movable jaw is the only part that needs lubrication. The crusher is equipped with a labyrinth seal to keep the grease in the bearing clean. The four bearings are provided with grease nozzles for adding grease. Before adding grease, clean the nozzles and oiling gun to avoid dust entering the bearing box.
